BDACS is advancing real-world utility testing by piloting offline retail payment infrastructure for its KRW-pegged stablecoin, while the KDX Consortium, in which BDACS serves as the sole specialized VASP custodian, has submitted its main authorization application for a fractional investment OTC exchange.


KRW1 Stablecoin Retail Payment Pilot
BDACS signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ZEKTO and Life4Cuts to pilot a payment and settlement system using BDACS’s KRW-pegged stablecoin, KRW1. The pilot will integrate a next-generation Web3 payment experience into Life4Cuts photo booths, operating across 1,000+ locations in 30 countries and drawing 3.8 million monthly visits, to evaluate the technical stability and operational feasibility of KRW stablecoin settlements.

KDX Consortium Submits Main Authorization Application for Fractional Investment Exchange
The KDX and NXT consortia officially submitted main authorization applications for fractional investment OTC exchanges to the Financial Services Commission (FSC) on August 10. As tokenized securities regulations take effect next year to cover distributed ledger securities, BDACS serves as the sole specialized custodian anchoring the KDX Consortium’s asset custody infrastructure.
Proposed Three-Year Digital Asset Tax Deferral and Advisory Panel Activation
Ruling party lawmakers introduced a bill to defer digital asset investment income taxation by three years, initiating key debates in parliament. Concurrently, tax authorities will convene the Taxation Notification Advisory Panel on August 24, aiming to establish official digital asset tax guidelines by October.
