- Establishes unified R&R framework spanning custody, security, accounting, and MMF integration
- Aims to lead Korean stablecoin market standards through institutional PoCs and consortium initiatives
BDACS (CEO Harry Ryoo), a leading digital asset custodian, announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with WEMADE (CEO Kwan-ho Park) to co-develop a stablecoin payment model and pursue strategic business cooperation.
The partnership aims to establish a standard stablecoin payment model that is commercially viable in Korea by combining BDACS’s institutional-grade digital asset custody infrastructure with WEMADE’s stablecoin financial network technology.
Under the agreement, BDACS will serve as the core infrastructure provider, overseeing the overall custody and operational environment. The company plans to implement a stable payment structure by integrating WEMADE’s KRW-pegged stablecoin mainnet, ‘StableNet,’ with BDACS’s proprietary corporate custody wallet.
Leveraging its Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) status, ISMS certification, global SOC 1 Type 2 attestation, and asset insurance, BDACS provides a custody environment that meets the rigorous security and accounting standards required by financial institutions. Furthermore, the company will support the integration of compliance-ready Money Market Fund (MMF) tokens alongside institutional-grade data management to ensure both the reliability and scalability of the payment model.
The two companies also plan to co-design reserve management systems and short-term operational structures for entrusted assets. Cooperation will extend to identifying Proof of Concept (PoC) opportunities for financial institutions and forming stablecoin-focused consortia. Through these initiatives, BDACS intends to solidify its position as the standard infrastructure provider in the domestic stablecoin market.
BDACS is focused on enabling the practical utility of stablecoins based on a custody infrastructure that institutions can trust. Through this collaboration, we will establish a standard payment model that financial institutions can adopt immediately, setting the benchmark for the domestic market.
