- Integrates ‘KRW1’, the world’s first KRW-pegged stablecoin, with Aptos to target global standards
- Expands real-world use cases based on BDACS’s infrastructure, proven by $60M in AUM and global security certifications
- Maximizes accessibility and liquidity through a multi-chain strategy to lead the global digital finance market

SEOUL, South Korea – BDACS, a digital asset infrastructure specialist, announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Aptos Foundation, an organization dedicated to advancing adoption of the Aptos blockchain, to expand the ecosystem of ‘KRW1’—the world’s first KRW-pegged stablecoin—and cooperate on infrastructure development.
The partnership aims to expand the ecosystem of ‘KRW1’, issued by BDACS, to the Aptos network, maximizing asset accessibility and liquidity through a multi-chain strategy. Notably, this collaboration marks the first integration with the Aptos (Aptos Move) ecosystem among non-EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) based mainnets, and is expected to expand the foundation for use case development and drive Web3 financial innovation.
The two companies plan to actively utilize the domestic and international payment rails and partnership networks established by Aptos to expand practical use cases for ‘KRW1’. The strategy includes building an on-chain commerce environment where stablecoins are transparently used in the real economy, through payment integrations with large-scale mobile gifting services and the integration of blockchain wallet infrastructure.
Aptos, the partner in this collaboration, is a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain led by former members of Meta’s (formerly Facebook) blockchain project ‘Diem’. Known for its superior transaction speed and execution infrastructure, Aptos currently supports major institutions such as BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, Apollo, NBCUniversal, and more. Home to over $580 million in tokenized real-world assets and $1.7 billion in stablecoins, the Aptos blockchain has emerged as a top-three chain for tokenized onchain markets.
“The exceptional transaction performance and global network of Aptos provide the optimal environment for realizing the digital financial infrastructure that ‘KRW1’, the world’s first KRW-pegged stablecoin, aims for in real-world applications,” said Harry Ryoo, CEO of BDACS. “Through this collaboration, KRW1 will establish itself as a widely utilized stablecoin across various user touchpoints both domestically and internationally.”
Ash Pampati, SVP and Head of Growth of Aptos Foundation, added, “Korea is a key market with high retail engagement and active consumer-facing projects. By integrating BDACS’s KRW1 with the Aptos blockchain, we will continue to advance the onchain economy by delivering a global commerce infrastructure fit for day-to-day payments, institutional settlements, and the tokenization of real-world assets. This is also a critical step to accelerating Aptos’ broader vision of building the full stack for markets and machines, as the world shifts towards a tokenized financial system.”
