- BDACS integrates KRW1 on Arc, making BDACS the first Korean stablecoin issuer on the network.
- BDACS, Circle, Kyobo Life Insurance, and SBI Holdings co-host the “Bridging Finance Onchain” KBW 2026 side event on October 1.
BDACS announced that KRW1 is now live on Arc mainnet as the first South Korean stablecoin on the network. This integration accelerates BDACS’ multichain strategy for the won-pegged stablecoin.
Arc was designed as an open financial infrastructure for institutional and retail users. The mainnet rollout unlocks onchain lending, stablecoin FX, tokenized assets, and stablecoin payments. Coinciding with this launch, KRW1 completed its integration and began live operations.
BDACS plans to expand KRW1-based FX services by leveraging Circle’s StableFX capabilities. This enables fully onchain foreign exchange between the Korean won and global stablecoins. It empowers domestic enterprises and institutions to efficiently tap into KRW liquidity across the Arc ecosystem.
“Seeing our work on Arc evolve from a testnet last year into a commercialized deployment is a major milestone,” said Harry Ryoo, CEO of BDACS. “As the first Korean won stablecoin issuer on Arc, we will expand KRW1 utility into onchain FX services and strengthen the global competitiveness of won-backed digital assets.”
Following the launch of KRW1 on Arc, BDACS will co-host the “Bridging Finance Onchain” on the sidelines of Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) 2026 with Circle, Kyobo Life Insurance, and SBI Holdings on October 1. The event gathers digital asset leaders to explore the future of stablecoins and onchain financial infrastructure.
